Spring fishing continues to impress and so does the weather! We have had lots of happy guests on our fishing charters the last month catching a variety of fish in Tampa bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
In Tampa bay the spanish mackerel have shown up in droves and are keeping our charter guests happy with fast action and some good table fare for dinner. There has also been quite a few larger seatrout, ladyfish, and jack crevelle in the mix with the mackerel making for some great catch and release action. The bait has started to shift back to the grass flats and the fish have become very active feeding to get ready to begin their reproductive cycles. The snook are redfish are hanging around the mullet schools on the flats ambushing small baitfish and crustaceans. We have been landing quite a few large snook and redfish which is nice to see again. These fish are catch and release as well. The mangrove snapper are starting to re appear in their haunts around structure and live bottom throughout Tampa bay. These fish make for an excellent meal. We have still been catching quite a few kingfish just a couple miles into the gulf off of Anna Maria Island.
There are many options to choose from right now on our fishing charters. Give me a call or text 813-220-8725 to get in on the action! We have pickup locations in Bradenton, Anna Maria Island/Bradenton Beach, and Palmetto.
