The beaches of Holmes Beach are some of the prettiest in the whole country and draws people from all over the world to vacation here. There are lots of beautiful places to rent for your vacation. Holmes Beach is very close to Robinson Preserve which is a great place to go walking/ bike riding and also great kayaking. There is also Desoto National Memorial very close by. This is where Hernando Desoto first landed with is crews in 1539. There is a visitor center that you can go inside and see some of the artifacts on display from around that time. There are some great restaurants including The Feast and The Ugly Grouper. The Feast has great food and they also offer the “cook your catch” option. There is nothing better than going out on a fishing charter with us and bringing your catch to The Feast to have it prepared for you that evening. Holmes Beach is about a thirty minute car ride from Lakewood Ranch which offers endless restaurant and shopping options for a rainy day activity.

Holmes Beach is centrally located on Anna Maria Island. Anna Maria is to the north and Bradenton Beach is to the south, collectively making Anna Maria Island. This is a very easy car ride from anywhere on Holmes Beach to get to the Kingfish boat ramp. Being on Anna Maria Island we are right in the middle of great fishing. We can be in Palma Sola bay within minutes and into the Gulf of Mexico or Tampa Bay within 20 minutes. We mainly do inshore fishing charters in Tampa Bay and Sarasota Bay but in the spring, winter, and fall we like to get out into the Gulf of Mexico when the weather allows. We fish year round and depending on the time of year there is always something to target. The big three species of fish that we target throughout the year on our inshore fishing charters are snook, seatrout, and redfish. Catching all three species in the same fishing trip is called the “inshore slam” and is a great accomplishment. Fishing in our area allows us for chances at catching a slam all year round.
